I put this happy yellow arrangement together not too long ago – it’s nice to have a bright pop of color around the house during these dreary Winter months. A few yellow Sunflowers, Golden Roses, and farm greens was all it took!
I tend to want to stay in and snuggle with blankets, my Husband and pup when Winter rolls around, so I need a little indoor sunshine!
It was a cold and rainy Sunday and I spent it being deliciously lazy. Lounged on the couch with the dog in my PJ’s all day long and I don’t feel the least bit guilty about it. Days like this always make me crave a comforting hot beverage like tea or cocoa, but nothing is better than a steaming mug of hot chocolate with a few marshmallows tossed in for good measure.

These Marshmallows from Whimsey & Spice are just like the brand’s moniker. They come in a variety of fun and interesting flavors and their oversized shape is certainly whimsical. The company is a husband and wife duo based out of Brooklyn and their Marshmallow confections come in flavors like espresso, chocolate, cardamom, and rose vanilla.
I plan on ordering a few varieties and hope they arrive by December 25th. Wouldn’t these be great for Christmas morning coffee or in hot cocoa alongside after dinner dessert?
I was at a Holiday Party this weekend and several of the other guests were recently Engaged which got me thinking about my married friends and the upcoming holidays. How cute are these glasses from Furbish Studio? A perfect gift for some one in your life who’s recently gotten hitched!
Mike, Bowser and I are preparing to head out to get our weekend in the Berkshires started and we couldn’t be more excited! We’re staying at a quaint old Bed and Breakfast that offered gourmet breakfasts, has a wonderful fire place, and farm animals out back.
Can’t wait to take in some Fall Foliage, do a little antiquing and get our relaxation on! I’ll be sure to share some photo’s when we are back.
This sounds too good to be true…but this is absolutely real! Saipua is one of my favorite blogs, and if I lived in Brooklyn I’m pretty sure I would be completely broke and living in a card board box that would be full of gorgeous flower arrangements from their store. The Author Sarah Ryhanen is funny and witty and her arrangements are spectacular. She gives lessons on how to create these stunning arrangements your self at the Little Flower School.
These images are from a past wildflower class they held earlier this month:

The cost of the workshop isn’t cheap at $250.00, but you do get to keep your beautiful arrangement and are gifted the flower clippers you use during the class. Best of all each class is ended with a champagne toast and delicious goodies. While this might not be something I’d do on a random afternoon, I could see this being a really nice & memorable way to spend a special occasion such as a Birthday or even an upscale small Bridal shower. Why oh why doesn’t something like this exist in Boston!? Looks like I’ll be planning a trip to Brooklyn sometime in the near future!
I’m having one of those Sundays where I can’t seem to get anything done and I really wish those chores would start doing themselves! Instead of laundry and dishes and preparing for getting back to the grind tomorrow, Bowser and I have been soaking up some A/C and catching up on an HGTV Design Star marathon (obviously in sweats).
We really couldn’t seem to get off the couch! I have to admit though it has been a pretty glorious & lazy Sunday.
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
